Passionate about making spaces that work hard for people’s needs, Elena finds a harmony in Interior Design that combines careful use of space, depth in detail, and simple, obvious beauty. She enjoys the challenge that a client’s style, space, and budget bring to each unique project and believes difficult problems often bring about the best solutions. Perpetually a learner, she started her professional career in photography after earning a BS in Marketing and International Business at Iowa State. Documenting inspiring spaces later led her to complete an AAS in Interior Design at Kirkwood Community College, and then into both the commercial and residential design & build industries. Elena adds to the MODG team with her skills in modeling, rendering, space planning, and specifying. Outside of work, Elena enjoys family time with her husband and two little kids!
